I checked my auctions and sure enough, there it was at the bottom, by my shipping info: "Service Transit Time - Estimated delivery 2-3 days." YEAH RIGHT! Not from Illinois to California or Florida! Plus, I have always had a policy of holding shipment until a check clears, at least for low feedback bidders. That really shoots the 2 to 3 day miracle that eBay claims I can perform. These unrealistic delivery times will lead customers to expect fast shipping during the Chrismas season. This move is going to open sellers up to a great many unwarranted negatives. Any seller who is not able to ship within a few hours of receiving payment will be screwed.

This new so-called enhancement affects both auction and store listings, so if you sell on eBay, you may want to take a look at what's been added to your listing without your consent. From what I gather on the forums, these "transit times" are not in everyone's listing. There doesn't seem to be a pattern to it, re sending date, type of shipment, etc.
