I found a Vintage Bucilla Tea Towel with the sticker attached at a Garage Sale last week. Not knowing a thing about it, I looked up Bucilla, first on ebay, and then on various other antique mall websites. I was surprised to see they made craft kits.
This towel doesn't seem to be meant for any sort of craft. The sticker says it's a hand print. It's a Black Poodle standing outside on the street and an Awning that says "Fifth Avenue". The poodle has a rhinestone eye and a rhinestone in the center of it's bow on the tail.

I've bought vintage hankerchiefs, but other than that, I don't normally bother with the linens at garage sales and auctions simply because I know nothing about them. But... this towel was so cute and for 10 cents there was NO way I was going to pass it up. Needless to say, it's sparked a new interest in Vintage Linens.

Does anyone know anything more about this Bucilla Towel or know where I can find infomation and maybe an approximate value on it? I was just going to list it for sale on ebay for a few dollars, but my eyes about popped out of my head when I saw the going prices on some of the other Bucilla towels, so I decided I'd better do my research before selling it for too low a price.

And also, Can anyone recommend a good book for more information & ID of vintage linens that includes things such as this towel and tableclothes? I'd also like to find one on hankerchiefs since I am accumulating quite a collection of those. It'd be nice to know a little more about what I've got.
