Posted at April 6, 2004, 3:57 pm: Hi all, I am so devasted - after being on eBay for over 4 years, had 100% positive feedback rating of 824, I got my first negative yesterday...over an item I sold for my husband...not even my merchandise! Feedback said I didn't repond to emails...I never got them, except the one asking when I shipped which I promptly responded to. I invoice every item, and the invoice had my phone # on it...why didn't he just call? It was for a Universal Remote and he claims the backlight doesn't work. It did. My husband even put batteries in it to check and left them in for the guy...an added bonus...and I even upgraded his shipping to Priority at no extra cost (he paid like $2 for shipping). Thing is, if he had a problem, I would have gladly refunded his money. I emailed him letting him know I did't get his emails, that he should have called and we could have worked it out. On my website (also on the invoice) it clearly states my return policies, too. Now, if he gets back to me, I don't even know if I want to...damage is already done. Do people just get their jollies leaving negs like that? He paid by paypal, can he do a chargeback? He obviously received the item...damage is already done to my feedback, I don't want to be out chargeback fees too. Guy only hade a 3 rating on ebay...that'll teach me to do business with newbies (I know some people hate that word, but if the shoe fits). Going to read Paypal procedures now.
