What Ebay delivers is a large and extremely diverse group of buyers. There is more to running a successful ecommerce site than having your stuff hosted. Advertising isn't cheap -- especially good advertising. IMO, Ebay sellers are paying for more than simple hosting. If Ebay works for any particular business, the seller uses it without feeling that they have been "duped". I just don't understand this constant bashing...if Ebay doesn't fit your business plan, do something else.
